24 Hour Plan: We left our anchorage off Prudence Island this morning with WNW winds blowing...blowing 25 and gusty. We then came around into a lee off Bristol Neck where we had a succesful otter trawl, and anchored up off Popasquash Neck.  You can see the extent of the trawl by the flags on the chart images.

We plan to remain here at anchor for the night and head to Newport by 1400 tomorrow.  We believe we have dockage at the Newport Yacht Club.

Here is the weather and sea data from one of the Buzzards Bay Stations. Best we aren't out there!

Student Report:
First we cleaned the soles and the heads on the boat. Then after breakfast, we dropped a large net off the back of the boat to do an otter trawl. We brought up all sorts of interesting creatures, like crabs and snails. We picked up a skate, which is a shark related bottom dweller. Afterwards, we had some knot tying class and had to clean the dishes. Then we had lunch. Afterwards we had a shark class and drew a shark on the dry erase board. We saw sharks’ teeth. Derek caught a comb jelly, and then caught about 12 more.
