After a half work day the crew took a few hour break before we welcomed the public on board for an open house.

With a turn out off 66 people we had both students from our previous trips as well as students from the upcoming trip with their families.

Many Cape Verdeans visited the ship and spent time looking through pictures and sharing stories and food.  We have appreciated the warm welcome from everyone in New Haven and enjoyed opening the boat and seeing how many lives the Ernestina has and will touch.
