Sail
With close to
forty-five members the ERNESTINA left the dock for a beautiful
sail. The crew was happy to have many family members,
new faces, and old hands. The extra special guests
aboard the ship were members of the Morrissey family.
Relatives of the first owner and captain were on the ship
talking of their kin and helping maneuver the ship. A
really nice sailing breeze allowed the permanent crew and
members to set the four lowers and enjoy the middle of the day
in Buzzards Bay. It was also great to have members of
the chorus who sang for sail setting and listening
pleasure. Thanks for a great day!
Burr
Brothers Boats
What a
wonderful evening of sailing, eating, drinking, and
conversation! What a great group of people to spend the
evening with in Buzzards Bay. Not only are the
employees and friends of Burr Brothers maritime savvy but they
know how to work too. The numbers and sheer strength of
this group made setting the mains'l seem like a piece of cake.
Setting the four lowers in record time allowed the crew and
participants to spend more time enjoying the nice sailing
breeze. Though overcast, the weather did hold out
for us. The Burr Brothers employees and friends are a
very nice group of people who we hope to see back in the
future either as individual members or as a group again.
