Three-day program

Day One: August 6, 2004
After a thorough orientation and introduction to the ship, students from the New Bedford Global Learning Charter School set sail for a three-day program. The first day carried the ship out the New Bedford Channel, round Clark's Point past Bulter's Flat and to anchor off Padanarum.

The foresail goes up in New Bedford harbor after a dockside orientation.

Haul away the halyard!

The foresail goes up with the New Bedford waterfront in the background. Principal Paul Fay is shown hauling away with the students.

Kerrie Johnson helps  a participant learn how to steer the ship.

Lookouts forward are briefed by Mate Tom Grace.

Tara Roesberg and Kerrie Johnson are on watch and work with participants at the helm.
